Standard HNBR Oring

Standard HNBR Oring

Standard HNBR O-ring is a general-purpose sealing ring made from hydrogenated nitrile rubber with a standard compound and typical hardness of about 70 Shore A. It seals by radial compression of 10–30% inside a precision groove, generating contact pressure to prevent leakage of hydraulic oil, fuel, and other fluids between static or moving mating surfaces. The material consists of hydrogenated NBR polymer chains reinforced with carbon black and cured using peroxide or sulfur systems to control elasticity and compression set. It operates in -40°C to 150°C and is used in hydraulic cylinders, engines, compressors, and industrial fluid systems under pressure cycling conditions.

Product Advantages

  • Factory direct supply with scalable production - In-house manufacturing supports large-volume orders with stable and timely delivery.
  • Standardized fixed compound formulation with batch consistency - Key parameters such as ACN content, curing system, and reinforcement system are controlled to ensure stable batch-to-batch performance.
  • Wide operating temperature range: -40°C to +150°C - Suitable for most industrial oil sealing and general engineering applications.
  • Tensile strength ≥16 MPa with strong mechanical structure - Provides good resistance to extrusion and deformation under pressure loading.
  • Designed for OEM and industrial procurement requirements - Focused on predictable performance and stable supply consistency for mass production systems.
  • Complies with ASTM D2000 M4DH716 and ISO 3601 standards - Material specification and dimensional standards are aligned with international engineering requirements.
  • Direct replacement for NBR in compatible systems - Service life can be extended by 3–5 times in appropriate operating conditions without modification of existing hardware.

Why Choose This Product

Standard HNBR Oring

1. Performance Comparison: NBR vs HNBR (This Product) vs FKM

  • NBR operates up to 120°C with moderate oil resistance, aging resistance, mechanical strength, and extrusion resistance, and has the lowest cost.
  • HNBR operates up to 150°C with balanced high performance in oil resistance, aging resistance, mechanical strength, and extrusion resistance, suitable for hydraulic and engine systems.
  • FKM operates up to 300°C with the best heat and chemical resistance, but moderate mechanical strength and higher cost.
  • HNBR offers better mechanical strength and extrusion resistance than FKM, and covers most hydraulic and engine working conditions with a balanced cost-performance ratio.

2. Material Selection Guide

  • Below 120°C oil/water sealing → NBR
  • 120–150°C hydraulic and engine systems → HNBR
  • Above 200°C high-temperature chemical environments → FKM
  • High pressure with extrusion risk → HNBR

3. Consequences of Wrong Selection

  • NBR in high temperature → aging, cracking, leakage
  • NBR in high pressure → extrusion failure
  • FKM in standard systems → unnecessary cost
  • Poor media compatibility → swelling and seal failure

4. Positioning of HNBR

  • HNBR is hydrogenated from NBR, improving thermal stability up to 150°C and mechanical strength.
  • Material cost is around 50–60% of FKM.
  • This product uses a fixed formulation with ACN 36% ±1% to ensure batch consistency.
  • HNBR is a balanced solution for hydraulic and engine sealing applications requiring stable performance.

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between Standard HNBR O-Ring and regular HNBR O-Ring?

A: This product is produced with a fixed formulation. Key parameters such as ACN content, curing system, reinforcement system, and processing conditions are locked to ensure consistent batch-to-batch performance.
Regular HNBR O-rings may vary in formulation depending on different suppliers or production batches.

Q2: What does "fixed formulation" mean?

A: ACN content is controlled at 36% ±1%. The curing agents and accelerators are fixed, the carbon black grade and loading are unchanged, and the mixing process parameters are standardized. Any material change requires written customer approval.

Q3: Do you support OEM/branding service?

A: Yes. Customer logos and customized product names can be printed on packaging bags and cartons. MOQ depends on specification and can be confirmed with our sales team.

Q4: How is product traceability managed?

A: Each batch is labeled with a production lot number, which links to raw material records, production parameters, and inspection data, ensuring full traceability throughout the production process.

Q5: How are after-sales issues handled?

A: We provide ongoing technical support. If any quality issue occurs, please share the batch number and photos. We will review and respond within 48 hours and assist with further handling.
