FFKM O-rings are static and dynamic sealing components manufactured from perfluoroelastomer compounds. They maintain sealing performance under temperatures up to 300–327°C, depending on the compound formulation. The material resists acids, amines, solvents, and high-purity process chemicals. These seals are installed in semiconductor processing equipment, chemical reactors, and plasma systems, where they prevent leakage during thermal cycling and aggressive chemical exposure.

1. Perfluorinated Molecular Structure – Resists 1,800+ Chemicals
FFKM is copolymerized from tetrafluoroethylene and perfluoromethyl vinyl ether, replacing all C-H bonds with C-F bonds. This fully fluorinated structure provides resistance to 1,800+ chemicals including strong acids (fuming nitric, concentrated sulfuric, hydrofluoric), strong bases, ketones (acetone, MEK), esters (ethyl acetate), ethers, and amines. Media that attack FKM-ketones, esters, amines-are fully compatible with FFKM.

 

2. Extreme High-Temperature Resistance – Up to 327℃ Continuous
Standard grades: -45℃ ~ 300℃. High-temperature grades reach 327℃ continuous, with intermittent peaks of 330℃~350℃. No hardening or embrittlement at 316℃ constant or 343℃ intermittent exposure.

 

3. Low Compression Set at High Temperatures
Hardness: Shore A 50~90. Compression set at 200℃×70h: 18%~26% ; at 275℃×70h: ≤45%. Maintains sealing contact pressure long-term without stress relaxation.

 

4. High Purity · Metal-Ion-Free · Plasma Resistant
High-purity grades contain no metal ions-suitable for semiconductor processes. Excellent resistance to corrosive plasmas NF₃, CF₄, SF₆-no cracking or deformation in dry etching, CVD, and related processes.

 

5. Full Size Range ·Customization Available
Cross-section 1.0~7.0mm, OD 10~450mm. Complies with GB/T 3452.1 and AS568. Sample-based customization available without drawings-mold development 3~5 days.

What is the difference between FFKM and FKM?

FFKM handles higher temperatures (up to 327℃ vs 200℃ for FKM), resists ketones, esters, amines, strong acids, and plasmas – all of which attack FKM. However, FFKM costs 10–50 times more. Choose FFKM when temperature exceeds 230℃ or when exposed to those aggressive media.

Why is FFKM so expensive?

FFKM requires complex synthesis of perfluorinated monomers and is produced by only a few suppliers (DuPont, 3M, Daikin, Solvay). The manufacturing process is costly, making it 10–50 times the price of FKM. Use it only when FKM cannot meet the service conditions.
